On October 21st, we made our second annual appearance at the Krewe Ga Rou Halloween Parade in Downtown Houma!
This parade is part of Rougarou Fest, a Cajun Halloween festival that benefits the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center, a non-profit dedicated to fighting coastal erosion and protecting the environment in Louisiana’s Bayou Region.
Originally scheduled as a night parade on the 20th, rain pushed the parade to the 21st during the day. We got to roll in beautiful weather- much better than the rainy disaster we had last year!
A huge shout-out goes to Mark and Kerry Diebold (my parents) for not only giving us a $400 donation to Making Strides for doing this parade, but also inviting everyone over for dinner afterwards!
