Kicking Off Fall

Sep 29, 2018

Fall is approaching (well, maybe not down here in Louisiana), meaning Halloween is around the corner. And it’s this time of year that lots of calls begin coming in.

This past weekend we kicked off our busy season with two teams attending two separate events 100 miles apart.

Touch a Truck:

On Saturday a group headed out to Bayou Church in Lafayette for Komen Acadiana’s Touch a Truck fundraiser. This event raised money to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Kids got to climb inside Ecto LA-3, take pictures with Slimer, and check out our gear.

Terrebonne Comic Con:

Then on Sunday another team responded to a call at the Terrebonne Parish Main Library in Houma. It was Terrebonne Comic Con!

Ecto LA-4 parked outside the library.

We had Ecto LA-4 parked out front and a team working a table inside helping keep the library ghost-free. Kinda fitting with how Ghostbusters started in a library, isn’t it? We did end up catching Slimer and Beetlejuice.

In the end, both teams had fun! We’d better rest this weekend, because we’ve got a lot of appearances coming up in October!
