“Our franchise is, at its core, and as its priority, a public-service organization. This past weekend idealized that mandate.
On Saturday, August 19th, your friendly neighborhood bayou busters attended not one or two, but three events for the betterment of our communities. It was a fantastic way to end the summer hiatus and get back to work.
First, a team consisting of founding members Ben and Savann along with Nick, Chris, Lezia, Garrett, Claire, Cherie, and Jack attended the Miles Perret Cancer Services Games of Acadiana where we worked closely with LHC Group Inc. to entertain kids and take photos, enhancing this great event and organization via costuming. Not only did we provide Ghostbusters for the kids to hang out with, but we also donned alternate cosplays like a Stormtrooper from Star Wars and Marvel’s Ant-Man. We paired up with other cosplayers like those from Spidey-Team to make things as fun as possible for the kids and adult spectators, all to battle cancer.
Second, up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, we had a team consisting of Damon, Jennifer, and Reggie work with our sister franchise, the Mississippi Ghostbusters and local first responders up at the annual event, Superhero Saturday. This event benefits the HFD Benevolent Fund.
Third, a special ops team of four consisting of CJ, Deuce, Heath, and Cullen brought the joy to a special 6-year-old boy’s birthday party along with Ecto LA-3 AND Ecto LA-4! Thanks to a donation from the family to our current charity, American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, this great little Ghosthead was treated to getting a ride in a real ectomobile as well as the chance to touch and inspect all sorts of paranormal equipment from his favorite thing: GHOSTBUSTERS!
Louisiana Ghostbusters: Saving the Day THREE charities at a time! LAGB is an officially-recognized Ghost Corps franchise.”
