The Louisiana Ghostbusters participated in an unprecedented number of parades this Mardi Gras season, generating over $1500 in donations to American Cancer Society Relay For Life. These parades included Krewe Mystique de la Capitale, Krewe of Chewbaccus, Krewe of Tucks (our first downtown New Orleans Mardi Gras Parade), Krewe of Good Friends of the Oaks, and Livonia Carnival Association Mardi Gras parade. Thanks to all who coordinated and attended these events! Our growth this past year has allowed us to stretch ourselves thinner and make a bigger difference for more communities.
In addition to dozens of team members from around the state at these parades, we also had on hand completing their membership requirements recruit Sara Mikkelsen and recruit Duane Vince who drove his truck as a support vehicle in two parades.
We will be proud to add this to our over $1800 total earned for Relay for Life and will turn in all monies at our final earnings push at Relay for Life Iberia Parish on March 25th where we’ll have a public table providing Buster Shots to the crowd and taking to the track without cease for the entire event to remember our cancer warriors.
