The Louisiana Ghostbusters wrapped up their semi-annual donations drive for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer this past November 1st.
The season began last June with our annual appearance at the BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo at Dream Night. A great evening happens there in the form of a free night of adventure, snacks, and photos with costumers especially designed for kids dealing with various forms of cancer.
Later in July our team participated annually in the Mechacon Anime convention in New Orleans where we traded LAGB T-shirts and snacks for donations to Relay for Life, then did a walk in the French Quarter of New Orleans to pick up donations for our Relay total.
In early October LAGB participated in the Louisiana Cattle Festival parade in Abbeville, LA to earn an additional donation for Relay for Life. While getting soaked by rain seems to be an annual event for us at this parade, we had a lot of fun!
Finally we wrapped up the season on November First at the Making Strides cancer walk in downtown New Orleans which gathered this year at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in Champion Square! It was unusually gold that day, but we were warm in gear and proud in our hearts to turn in all of our earnings to battle Breast Cancer.
The Louisiana Ghostbusters are proud to have supported for the last 5 years the American Cancer Society and its efforts to aid those battling cancer.
